Kat is building a freshwater kayak - neatO! She bought a kit and rented a storage space to a couple of weeks ago. The kit includes pieces of pre-cut wood, fiberglass overlay, and bottles of epoxy. I think it comes with a step by step guide as well that walks you through it. In Milton, there are a bunch of rivers and waterways that should be great for testing it out. 
Wow that is neato! Is this a one or two person kayak? Have fun trying it out in the water and be safe:)
